The Sustainable Healthcare with Digital Health Data Competence (SUSA) project, funded by the EU's Digital Europe program, is a €12.4 million initiative involving 12 European universities. Launched in January 2025, the project aims to enhance the digital competencies of healthcare professionals through bachelor's and master's programs, as well as lifelong learning modules. The project focuses on integrating AI and digital tools into healthcare education to improve patient care and system efficiency.
SUSA will introduce 46 bachelor's and master's degree programs, along with 16 lifelong learning modules, tailored to develop essential skills in digital health, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. The initiative aims to produce 6,558 graduates and upskill 660 professionals, equipping them with the specialized digital competencies essential for advancing healthcare practices across Europe.
